About BluePlant
One developer, from first conversation to maintenance
BluePlant has existed since 2019 and works from Weesp. There is one person behind the name, and that is a deliberate choice.
Most software companies put an account manager between you and the people doing the work. You explain your problem to someone who then passes it on. What eventually gets built has been translated twice already.
I set it up differently on purpose. You put your question directly to the person who will build it, and they ask the questions that actually matter straight away. That makes the process shorter and the result sharper.
It also means I do not take on everything. If your question is a better fit for an off-the-shelf package, or for a company with a team behind it, I would rather say so up front than have us find out together.
What that means for you
You always talk to the same person
The person you have the conversation with is also the one who builds it and later maintains it. No information is lost between sales and delivery, because that step does not exist.
I still know your system in two years
At an agency, someone else will be working on it in two years and will have to get up to speed again. Not here. That saves time on every change that follows.
Small jobs are welcome too
A connector that takes a few days is too small for an agency to be interested in. For me that is a perfectly good job, and often exactly what is needed.
"And what if you get hit by a bus?"
A fair question, and the honest answer is that working with one person is a risk you have to weigh. I try to keep it as small as possible.
The source code lives in a repository that you own, not me. Everything runs on common technology that any developer knows, with no homegrown constructions nobody can get through. How it fits together and how it is deployed is written down alongside the code. There is no key sitting in my attic.
In short: you are not locked in. If you ever want to continue with someone else, you can, and I will help with the handover.
